Chasing Wrong Things

Chasing wrong things leads to a life full of illusions. There is deception all around. The cruelest of all forms- Deceiving yourself. There are some things in life which happen unconsciously, even when you don't want them to happen at all. You are mindful of not letting them happen but you feel helpless at the same time. They just happen. Sub-consciously. You caress yourself, make yourself understand, warn yourself, challenge yourself but somehow, you fail. Miserably. Why? This question strikes my mind so often that it makes me angry sometimes. Angry, because I am a victim of this melancholy too. And I feel helpless about it.

Your conscience needs a rebirth. Your mind needs to be mastered in such a skillful manner that you do only what you feel is right. There has to be minimization of the slavery that this devil commands you. The will-power needs some boost. The levels of determination should rise to that extent wherein you feel happy with whatever you say or do. How wonderfully amazing that feeling is when your actions are in sync with the will of your conscience!

All of this discussion comes down to one thing: We are humans. Silly, selfish, manipulative creatures. Stupid-heads. We wander unknowingly in this wide world with no intelligent insight. We get lost in momentary glee and happiness. The same is true for sorrows and despair too. We lack the power to control ourselves in any possible way. Only a handful of people stand out of the crowd. How I wish to be one among them!

Tail-piece: "When you stop chasing the wrong things, you give the right things a chance to catch you". So why not offer those right things a chance to be there for you!
