All About Priorities
From the little things in life to the bigger ones, everything runs in accordance with the *priority* that we set. Priority, as the dictionary defines it, is the status established in order of importance or urgency. All the decisions that we take, are because everything happens in sync with the precedence that we give to the matters of life and beyond. Life is a game of priorities. Each step that you take, every path that you walk upon, every action that you do and undo, every choice that you make- it’s all a result of the priorities that we have in life. There do come such instances in life when you seem to be deciding on things, not realizing that it is because we want it above everything else. Sometimes we do not realize that it is the fact that have set a standard of precedence which makes us look at things. At times, life makes us forget that we are running short of time and therefore, we need to prioritize stuff accordingly.
Every individual has his share of stuff to care about. No two people can have the exactly same outlook on a particular aspect of life. For me, there could be something I could give my life to achieve and for others, it would hardly matter. I may consider something of the least importance which others would be highly appreciative of. I may wish to turn to the right instead of left and others may wish to do exactly the opposite. From the choices like the flavor of the ice-cream you love to have, to those where it may be essentially equal to costing your frigging life- it’s all a matter of how you perceive things, how you want things to turn out and what order of preference you give them.
So, the human nature does not allow us to look down upon the priorities of someone else. Being judgmental about the choices or the preference of any particular person would mean that you are, in a way, cutting back on his freedom of thought. We have no say in howsoever manner a person chooses his life to be, with regard to the choices he makes. Freedom has to be both ways- if you support one particular part of the story, then for the reasons known, there will be someone who would support the other side of the story as well. There is no point of ridiculing and mocking the path that someone chose to walk on. Like I said, priorities matter- and it is the deciding factor in whatever situation we face.
In all the aspects of life, in the matters concerning this life and beyond, in deciding even the tiniest bit of your life, in doing whatever your conscience nods for, in all the spheres where sanity takes you- no matter how far that may seem, it is all about *choosing* your priorities. All about that. Nothing less and nothing more. Prioritize stuff well. Next time you decide on something, make sure you have got your priorities set in the possibly perfect way.
